TRAVEL FUND
Are you taking a trip to an academic conference, to volunteer abroad, or to conduct research outside the province or the country? If so, the Trinity College Meeting may be able to give you financial support. We offer grants to pay in part for travel, accommodation and other expenses for certain types of travel.
As outlined in the College Fiscal Policy: Each student may receive a grant of up to $300.00 per trip to a maximum of $1200.00 over an undergraduate career. Grants shall not be used to pay for tuition costs or for individuals to engage in projects for which they may receive course credit.
Grants shall not be used in place of normal club funding. Grants shall only be awarded to individuals who demonstrate that they have sought funding from other sources, and are either making a matching personal contribution or can demonstrate financial need.
There is no standard template for these proposals. However, successful proposal should include:
• A budget, demonstrating costs and sources of revenue (personal contributions, other fundraising)
• An explanation of the proposed activity.
• An explanation of the value of the proposed activity.
• Any supporting information (financial need, etc.)
Applications are considered several times throughout the year by the Finance Committee and the TCM. The deadlines for applications will be communicated on this website and a variety of other media.
